MEDIA / STRATEGY
Belron | Safelite
Producing a documentary-style leadership film focused on workplace safety, accountability, and human impact.
Created for Belron's 2024 Global Leadership Summit, the film follows Blade, a Safelite technician in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, whose workplace injury became a powerful story about responsibility, resilience, and safety culture.
THE CHALLENGE
Communicating safety through lived experience.
We were tasked with telling a deeply personal story that would resonate with leaders across Belon's global organization. The production took place in an active service facility with environmental limitations and minimal disruption to daily operations.
The goal was to craft a film that felt honest and human while communicating a powerful message about safety, accountability, and leadership.
Sensitive Subject Matter
Telling a story about a life-altering injury requires empathy, trust, and the right approach.
Operational Constraints
Filmed in a highly active facility with visual limitations and a tight window for production.
Global Leadership Audience
The film needed to connect with executives across countries, cultures, and brands.
OUR APPROACH
Shaping the environment around the story.
The production required more than documenting a technician at work.
Every element of the process was shaped to preserve honesty, maintain cinematic control, and communicate the story clearly to a leadership audience.
01
GUIDED CONVERSATION
Because the story involved a life-altering injury, the interview process was designed to create trust and honest reflection without turning Blade into a performer.
02
CINEMATIC CONTROL INSIDE A WORKING ENVIRONMENT
We adapted the active service environment with controlled lighting, camera placement, and intentional staging to create polished visuals without interrupting operations.
03
TURNING PROCESS INTO STORY
Detailed visual coverage of the repair process helped connect the physical work to the film's larger message about injury, recovery, and responsibility.
EXECUTION
Human stories behind organizational decisions.
The final film connected Blade’s personal experience to the broader responsibility carried by leadership teams across a global organization. Rather than treating safety as policy alone, the story grounded it in the lived reality of the people those decisions are meant to protect, transforming a corporate initiative into something personal, tangible, and difficult to ignore.
