Ohio Wins Most Corporate Projects in 2009
March 8, 2010
The State of Ohio landed more corporate expansions and locations than any other state in the U.S., according to Site Selection Magazine's Annual
Governor's Cup competition announced in the March 2010 edition.
The award marks the fourth year in a row Ohio has won the title as measured by projects of over $1 million, 20,000 square feet or 50 new jobs. Ohio had 381 qualifying projects in 2009. The closest competitor, Texas, had 374.
The award is a reflection of the impressive magnitude of business facilities in the Buckeye State, and industries' satisfaction with Ohio's reformed tax code, skilled work force, and business infrastructure.
