Rail

CSX Transportation provides rail service in Washington County. CSX’s line crosses the Ohio River from Parkersburg, West Virginia, into Belpre, Ohio. The line then follows State Route 7 northeast to Marietta. Spurs serve numerous industries along the way. Once in Marietta, the line follows the Muskingum River northwest to American Electric Power’s Muskingum River Power Station outside of Beverly.
